Loch Shira returned to service, partnering Isle of Cumbrae 07 August 2024.


Meanwhile Loch Tarbert beat a retreat to James Watt Dock for treatment for her multiple ills!

Cumbrae Service



Isle of Cumbrae was on reduced service 05 August 2024 for necessary repairs to damaged ramps, which were continued 06 August 2024. Meanwhile, damage to Loch Tarbert's ramps imposed a 3.5 tonne maximum for traffic, resulting in 3.5 hours delay ex Largs. Loch Shira has relocated from Troon to JWD requiring "extensive sea- and berthing trials across the greater Clyde Area" before returning to service, and Loch Fyne requires a Voith unit rebuild, expected duration four weeks, before "further relief or regular deployment can be considered"!

Cumbrae Service



Loch Fyne was removed from service 30 June 2024 with a Voith Schneider fault and retired to JWD for repair, estimated to take four weeks. Isle of Cumbrae arrived from Tarbert as the "cavalry", 31 July 2024 with 2.5 hour delays ex Largs.

PS Waverley leaves Largs on a cruise 07 July 2024.
