Research Vessel Aora lies at her mooring in a tranquil Millport Bay 22 March 2008. Aora operates from Keppel Pier under the auspices of the University Marine Biological Station, Isle of Cumbrae, which is an Institute of the University of London, managed in association with Glasgow University. More details can be found here.
Cape Carmel
Loch Shira
Caledonian Macbrayne's Loch Shira lying outside Largs Pier 21 March 2008. The summer timetable started today and she is waiting to carry out the late sailing from Largs to Cumbrae Slip. Little wonder that she doesn't normally berth at the existing pier at Largs! (the wind had moderated and appeared to be swinging Easterly?)

Sara
Coruisk
Caledonian Macbrayne's Coruisk on the Wemyss Bay - Rothesay run 18 March 2008. By all accounts Coruisk is due to return to Mallaig prior to Macbrayne's summer timetable on Good Friday when Bute returns from overhaul.
[Edit] I now understand that Saturn will take the place of Coruisk when she returns to Mallaig![/Edit]
Cape Carmel
Motor tanker Sara (more details can be found here) comes alongide bulk carrier Cape Carmel to deliver bunkers at Hunterston 18 March 2008. Pilot Cutter Toward waits to uplift the pilot. Sara is a smoky boat!
